Job Overview

This role entails comprehensive leadership and management of the facility, focusing on achieving set goals and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational standards, and overseeing operational and financial stability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Resident Service Management: Effectively communicate and engage with residents and their families, addressing any changes or concerns promptly. Ensure that residents' physical and mental needs are met by yourself or your team. Promote effective marketing and communication across all service levels while practicing active listening.
  • Risk Management: Designate individuals to oversee daily infection prevention and control efforts. Provide necessary resources and information to support these initiatives. Establish expectations for data collection and usage to monitor infection control, fostering a culture of safety. Ensure that a safety program is operational with regular inspections and necessary corrections. Uphold resident rights and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Oversee the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program, leading monthly committee meetings and supporting performance improvement projects.
  • Communication and Documentation Management: Clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing. Seek continuous feedback on performance and communicate effectively within the organization. Ensure that all documentation and reports comply with regulatory and policy requirements, keeping supervisors informed and following the appropriate chain of command.
  • Financial and Operational Oversight: Collaborate with departmental teams and consultants to manage campus operations effectively.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, ideally in healthcare administration, with coursework in business and human resources.
  • Experience requirements may vary based on location.
  • Licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Additional licenses may be required based on state regulations and facility needs.
