Job Summary

The Compliance Officer is responsible for conducting regularly scheduled inspections of The Highlands’ community for compliance with the Association’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CCR’s). To be successful in this position, the individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Problem solving; attention to detail; effective communication skills, and exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions

• Schedule regular inspections of The Highlands’ community.
• Report homeowner’s property damage (e.g., leaks, downed trees, etc.)
• Identify and process CCR violations including parking/vehicle compliance, exterior appearance of homes and common areas, with established covenant violation policies of the community.
• Deliver citations to homeowners and notice to the Community Manager
• Prepare, collect, and report to Community Manager any information necessary to insure proper enforcement of covenant violations.
• Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure timely resolution of violations.
• Support the concerns of the community and those expressed by the Community Manager
• Support a community culture that emphasizes, quality and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to become knowledgeable with the Associations CCR’s, as well as any subsequent amendments and duly adopted rules, including Architectural Landscape Committee (ALC) guidelines.
• Ability to identify and complete critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to promote the maintenance of The Highlands community to maintain aesthetics as well as property values
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s preferred
• 2 years customer service experience preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Microsoft office skills including Excel and Word
