Job Details

• Travel Newborn Nursery/NICU RN position at East Georgia Regional Medical Center
• Start ASAP
• Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, call required
• Call requirements: 2 12hr shifts per 6 week schedule (one must be a weekend shift)
• 2+ years’ experience required
• 2+ previously completed travel assignments required
• Newborn Nursery & NICU experience required
• CPN, STABLE, & Cerner experience preferred

• Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend shift is met

Unit Specific Information

• Newborn Nursery and NICU unit
• Number of beds: 20/5
• Patient ratio per AWHONN standards (1:4 transition, 1:1 or 1:2 level 2)

Additional Details

• Attend deliveries as needed in L&D and OR
• Transition for first 2 hours or as needed based on protocols
• Care for level 2 as admissions dictate
• Number of beds in unit: 20/5
• Patient Ratio varies per AWHONN standards (1:4 transition and 1:1 or 1:2 level 2)
• 48GHs are not approved
• Scrub color = navy blue
• Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Newborn Nursery patients during immediate neonatal phase and newborn care
• Utilizes Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgement, and leadership
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with education and experience of staff
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
