We are in need of an experienced Enrolled Agent / Tax Professional to streamline clients’ tax preparations, assist with IRS letter responses and representation, and provide proactive tax planning. You’ll advise clients on tax optimization strategies and help them make smart financial decisions to maximize their long-term savings. This role also includes working with QuickBooks, occasional bookkeeping and payroll tasks, and handling back-tax projects.

$30 - $35 hourly

• Honor client privacy by keeping confidential documents safe and organized
• Serve as a liaison between tax authorities and the client, submitting the final tax forms on their behalf
• Utilize the appropriate credits and deductions the client is eligible for
• Provide guidance for future taxes and help them make a plan for the upcoming year to save as much money as possible

• Manage QuickBooks Online & Desktop accounts for assigned clients
• Perform full-charge bookkeeping : reconciliations, payroll processing, financial statement prep
• Complete prior-year and delinquent tax return preparation projects
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, and small businesses

• Obtained a current Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) from the IRS
• Experience handling both basic and advanced levels of tax service, and has in-depth knowledge of the tax code, state tax laws, and federal tax laws

• Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required
• 3+ years experience in tax preparation (individual & business)
• Knowledge of IRS representation and tax resolution procedures
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and payroll processing
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Excellent organizational and client communication skills
