Structural Engineering Position
Greeson, Gatlin, Gangluff & Associates Engineers P.A.
Our firm serves our Architectural and Industrial clients with a team-oriented approach to engineer structures with an emphasis on life-safety, serviceability, and owner/client satisfaction. We provide structural engineering services for commercial, educational, and religious facilities, including community tornado shelters in Arkansas and surrounding states. We currently employ three Professional Engineers along with four supporting staff including BIM designers, CAD techs, and an office manager. We design structures utilizing various materials including concrete, masonry, steel, and wood/timber. Our firm currently produces engineering drawings using RAM products, Risa, Enercalc, Revit, & Autocad.
Staff/Project Engineer:
BS in Structural/Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, PE or EI certification required. Minimum of 2-5 years work experience preferred.
Under supervision, have the capability to produce engineering calculations including building design loads, design calculations/analysis, and communicate requirements with support staff to produce a complete set of structural drawings.
Under supervision, communicate with clients and attend meetings to collaborate the structural with the Architect and other engineering disciplines.
Under supervision, review construction submittals and communicate with contractors as needed so that design is correctly implemented during construction.
It is the intent that with proven experience and development this position will include taking over projects to produce the structural design documents and coordination required during engineering and construction.
Familiarity with the International Building Code, ASCE 7, RAM and Revit is beneficial, but not required.
The ability to be flexible as projects develop and adjust to the client’s needs is a plus.
A substantial benefit package is provided as well as above average compensation.
Minimal travel required.
