Special Education Teacher responsible for delivering individualized instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs, developing and implementing data-driven IEPs, and fostering an inclusive educational environment. Collaborates with general educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress and participates in IEP meetings and school team planning. Position requires an Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement and experience working with grades 9-12 students.

Position Details:
Location: South Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:50 AM–3:20 PM
Dates: August 2025 – June 2026
Caseload: 10–12 students, Grades 9–12
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Develop compliant, data-driven IEPs
Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with general educators, related services, and families
Track and report student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and school team planning
Requirements:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1)
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Prior experience working with high school-aged students preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
