Description:

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Shipping and receiving personnel are responsible for all items entering and leaving the facility. This role works closely with the Procurement Manager, quality, and operations to ensure on-time delivery of product and correctly received and distributed product. This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions, strong communication skills and time management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ShippingCreating shipping labels and packing slips using the ERP system and carrier softwareManage documentation for customer shipments and carrier required documentsSort and package shipments to maintain traceability and protect customer partsRead, understand, and execute specific instructionsCommunicate inventory needs and maintain cleanliness and order of department

ReceivingReceive materials and products into the facility and inform relevant partiesTrack received items in the ERP system and accurately record quantities and detailsPerform basic incoming inspections and maintain certifications as neededDistribute items to their proper floor locations as required

Quality AssuranceVisually inspect and count parts prior to shipmentIdentify and report defects regarding parts and materials

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or shipping/receiving environment preferred
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Forklift and/or scissor lift certification preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable transportation
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform push/pull tasks, bending and lifting tasks, keyboarding, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Attention to detail and able to read and comprehend instructions
• Experience with ERP systems and software preferred, but training will be provided
• Time management and organizational skills

ITAR REQUIREMENTS

Sea Air Space Machining & Molding/The Technology House (SAS/TTH) has a responsibility to comply with all applicable requirements set forth by International Traffic Arms Regulations, or ITAR (22 CFR 120-130).
