Description Summary Scale House Operator will operate the scale to weigh incoming and outgoing loads, as necessary. Will also check driver paperwork prior to unloading to ensure truck is loaded to correct warehouse.

Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices and assist with any other duties assigned by Production Manager.
Required Skills - Follows requirements for Lock Out Tag Out, (LOTO)
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Has a firm Knowledge of and adheres to food safety responsibilities.
- Will work with Materials Manager and Customer Service Representatives to ensure timely, accurate communications to the appropriate personnel at our customers on the status of their shipments throughout the day.
- Will work with all concerned to improve the areas under your responsibility regarding employee safety, food safety, product quality, and efficiency.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one-year experience, three years preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Word Processing software; Contact Management systems and Spreadsheet software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position is located in a peanut processing facility where constant exposure to peanut dust and particles is unavoidable. Due to the nature of the work environment, we may be unable to provide a reasonable accommodation for individuals with severe peanut allergies.
Additionally, this role requires working at elevated heights, including climbing ladders and platforms up to 60 feet. Individuals with a significant fear of heights or related conditions may find this aspect of the job challenging.
