Schedule:

6p 6a 12 hour night shifts
Call: Yes, in-house call. Provider must be on site to respond to emergent cases, sleep room can be available if needed.
up to possibly 20 shifts per month
PA first assist preferred

Percentage of the practice: Adult - 98%; Pediatric - 2%; Trauma - 90%; Hospital - 100%
Average Number of surgeries per physician per day: 3
Average No. of hospital patients per physician per day: 10-25; Admissions - 3-5; ICU - 3
Required to Supervise other healthcare providers: Yes, there are a couple of days where locum tenens physician is covering the Neurosurgery call.
Lab & x-ray onsite: Yes
EMR: EPIC (Hospital)

Preferred Procedures:

General neurosurgery Adult & Trauma
Cerebrovascular: Open, Endovascular, Carotid or vertebral artery surgery, Aneurysm clipping
Spinal surgery w/ instrumentation
Spinal surgery w/o instrumentation
Placement of ICP monitors
