General Manager - Manufacturing
Job Summary:
Our client in Kansas City , MO is looking for a General Manager - Manufacturing. This is a Direct Hire position.
Set policies, operations, create and maintain budgets, and coordinate with local management in the company to evaluate employees, company performance and efficiencies. Must oversee line stops, safety violations/accidents and chronic defects
Participate in the reviewing process of the following items;
Participate in internal quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the quality and environmental systems
Create and secure a safe and secure work environment
Manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures
Reporting relationships:
Qualifications
· Local candidate preferred. Relocation possible for the right candidate
· 15-20 yrs of experience preferred
· Must be authorized to work in US for any employer (no work visas will be accepted)
· Must have technical background (engineering, manufacturing, tooling, etc)
· Automotive experience is preferred but not required.
· Currently about 100 employees but this is a large plant and as more work comes in, employee population will grow
· 20-50 mill in sales right now with room to grow
· Salary DOE plus excellent profit sharing program
· Plant does Metallics, assembly, laser cutting, welding, etc
