VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital -- located just 15 minutes north of Boston -- is seeking skilled technicians to join our growing AAHA-accredited, ten-doctor general and exotics practice. You should be a CVT or currently on a path to become certified. We may consider assistants with professional experience. \
\
Our practice is a place of learning and fun. We frequently have doctor and tech externs passing through, and many of them later join the practice. In fact, four of our doctors worked here before they went to vet school and another one did an externship here before she was hired. \
\

We take Fear Free(TM) seriously, with 40 Fear Free Certified professionals on staff\
54% dogs, 26% cats, and 20% exotics (including reptiles, birds, small mammals, and aquatics)\
AAHA-accredited for more than 30 years\
Board certified avian specialist on staff\
Growing quickly and moving into a brand new Wakefield location in September (construction has resumed after pandemic delay!)\
Ultrasound, digital rads (including dental)\

The successful candidates will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service. We will consider part-time tech candidates that are available some evenings and weekends. \

Requirements include:\
\
Current CVT credentials or working toward taking your exam\
Either current Fear Free(TM) certification or a willingness to become certified (we cover the cost)\
A flexible schedule -we are open 7 days, and some weekend and evening shifts are required (not every weekend unless that's your preference)\
Excellent technical, interpersonal, and computer skills\
A dedication to maintaining the positive work environment that is fostered here\
\

VCA Wakefield is currently located at Exit 40 off Routes 95/128 (at Route 129). We'll be moving to Exit 42 just behind the Lynnfield Marketplace in September. Our new building will have separate lobbies and treatment areas for dogs and cats/exotics. \
\
