Position Overview : The Director, Digital & Performance Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that support goop Kitchen's nationwide growth. This role demands a strategic, data-driven thinker who can lead omnichannel campaigns while constantly testing, learning, and optimizing to hit KPIs. From loyalty and email marketing to performance media and third-party delivery partners, the ideal candidate blends analytical rigor with brand instinct—and knows how to turn insights into action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop overarching marketing plans that align with key business initiatives and provide thought leadership to the senior leadership team.

Loyalty / Email Marketing

  • Develop and execute mass notification emails and segmented marketing campaigns — working closely with Director of Social and Content on messaging and copywriting
  • Implement automated email strategies and ensure timely updates to marketing platforms with each menu change.
  • Regularly A/B test subject lines, CTAs, send times, and segmentation logic to continuously improve open rates, click-throughs, and conversions.
  • Oversee ongoing loyalty program strategy, implementation, optimization,and manage quarterly meetings with our loyalty vendor.

3rd Party Delivery Aggregators

  • Manage advertising campaigns, promotions, and budgets across third-party aggregators: Uber Eats, Doordash, Postmates, etc.
  • Monitor campaign KPIs; proactively test promotion formats and messaging to optimize performance per platform.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with account managers, coordinating

promotions as needed.

  • Provide weekly reports on campaign performance and update branding when
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, incorporating test-and-learn frameworks across marketing initiatives to validate strategies and uncover opportunities.
  • Compile marketing statistics for weekly team reporting.
  • Maintain the monthly rollup KPI tracker and provide ad hoc reporting to senior

leadership.

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to determine effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Paid Media Management

  • Oversee Meta and Google paid media campaigns from strategy through execution, with a focus on constant optimization—via creative testing, budget allocation, and audience refinement.

Account Management

  • Coordinate approvals and feedback within the team and participate in cross- departmental meetings.
  • Serve as the point of contact with the goop Kitchen team, leading weekly meetings and drafting marketing update emails.

SMS Marketing

  • Set up and integrate SMS marketing strategies with loyalty platform, including mass notifications, segmented campaigns, and automations.
  • Drive performance through experimentation with timing, message format, and cadence across SMS campaigns.

Existing and New Locations Support

  • Create and implement marketing strategies for new locations, assembling menus, creating mock webpages, and distributing vouchers.
  • Manage listings on Google, Yelp, and Apple Maps

First Party App Management

  • Spearhead app design/development and management, acting as the point person with our web partner on monthly challenges, interstitial updates, and push notifications.

Website Management

  • Oversee all aspects of website management of goopkitchen.com, coordinating with our tech team for updates and changes, and managing homepage promotions and hero images.
  • Own ongoing website updates, ensuring all homepage promotions, landing pages, and CTAs are optimized for conversion through continuous multivariate testing.

Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing and brand

Management.

  • Proven track record of developing successful digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and analytics software.
  • Restaurant tech experience with Toast, Olo, Doordash and Uber Eats are a plus
