OverviewDental Hygienist Dr. Marshall Johnson and Dr. Elizabeth Jaynes, respected periodontal and implant practice, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team two days per week. Schedule: Monday, Thursday 8-4:30, maybe some Fridays 8-12 (with last appointment at 11) ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as neededTake dental radiographs (X-rays)Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gumsEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive careApply fluoride treatments when appropriatePrepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocolsAssist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental recordMonitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipmentEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standardsPlease note that additional responsibilities may be assigned QualificationsRequirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of TexasA bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program is requiredCPR certificationNitrous oxide monitoring certificateProficient in Dentrix and DexisPreferred Skills5+ years’ experience preferred; periodontal experience is a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGentle and compassionate chairside mannerProficiency with dental software Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamAttention to detail and commitment to delivering quality careFamiliarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques We OfferCompetitive CompensationUniformsHygiene Assistant to manage sterilization, setting up appointments, etc... Specialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers.
