CNC Set-Up Operator

 

Pay: $22.00 + (open for negotiation - based on experience) 

Shifts: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Location: Wheeling, IL

Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements: Resume / Interview / Authorization to work in the U.S.

Our client is a precision manufacturing company specializing in high-quality components and machining solutions. They are seeking skilled CNC Operators to join their growing team and support operations on both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills with Mazak and Haas equipment.
• Work with Mazak and Fanuc controls.
• Perform machine set-ups: install fixtures, load tools, and touch off tools.
• Input and run CNC programs (no programming experience required).
• Produce first-piece inspections and make minor program edits as needed.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CNC Operator (lathes or mills).
• Familiarity with Mazak, Haas, and/or Fanuc controls.
• Ability to perform set-ups, tool changes, and first-piece inspections.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work either day or night shifts.
