A family-owned company in the same-day delivery business for over 50 years is looking for an experienced and professional cargo van driver to join our growing team of drivers. Our couriers are our front-line representatives to our clients and are the reason our customers trust our services. We need a driver familiar with the NY metro area for our cargo van. Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following: Freight deliveries to be made throughout NY, NJ, PA & CT Must have previous courier experience and have working knowledge of the NYC area. Must also be able and willing to make inside deliveries if necessary. May also drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, etc. and delivering them to a hospital in NY Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction Minimum Qualifications A valid driver's license and clean driving history Have at least 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a valid driver's license issued in the state of residence Preferred Qualifications Relevant industry/driving experience Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points There will be early start hours and overtime.
