CoSolutions is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Engineer to support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of AV systems for a federal customer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with various AV equipment, a solid understanding of AV cabling and connector types, and the ability to support offsite events throughout the year.

The AV Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the successful deployment and operational functionality of AV systems across multiple environments, including conference rooms, event spaces, and government facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, pull, terminate, and test AV cables, connectors, and interfaces.
• Install AV hardware including projection screens, flat-panel displays, and speaker systems.
• Configure AV systems and ensure optimal system performance at client sites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Wire AV racks and ensure clean, organized installations.
• Manage AV projects involving multiple equipment models and manufacturers.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations and configurations.
• Support up to ten (10) offsite AV events annually within a 50-mile radius of the duty station.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant hands-on AV systems experience.
• Certifications (Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements):
  • Security+ CE (CompTIA) – Required
  • At least one DLA Approved CE Certification from the following:
    • 100-140 Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) IT Support
    • 100-150 Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking
    • 100-160 Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Cybersecurity
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of AV cable types, connectors, and signal paths
  • Proven experience in AV system installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of AV cable types, terminations, and connectors (HDMI, VGA, BNC, CAT5e/6, fiber, etc.).
  • Familiarity with a range of AV equipment (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting AV systems including signal flow and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Capable of lifting/moving AV equipment and working at heights (as needed).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance required
• Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) clearance
