Advanced Specialty Staff RN - MEDICAL FORENSIC NURSE at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Advanced Specialty Staff RN - Medical Forensic Nurse provides compassionate, timely medical-forensic exams and care to patients, including documentation, prophylaxis, and referrals in accordance with established protocols. Description

The forensic nurse examiner will provide timely, compassionate care to patients seeking medical-forensic exams in accordance with established protocols. This will include completing a medical-forensic exam, providing prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and completing referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Completion of the 40hr IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years - Nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SANE-A or SANE-OR Certification upon hire.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
